Katie, Ink on paper, "24x18", 2005

Many of the images I do are combinations of photography and invented imagery. The interplay of these two things in an image creates a kind of tension that I like to explore. Stippling, again, is the technique here, as it is in the majority of the ink drawings. At 24"x18", this is one of the largest of my drawings.

This was done a little over a year ago, but it's the first time the image has been posted online in large format. The dot rendering can be easily made out when the actual drawing is almost the same size as this online version. Click on the image to enlarge.
